Why sculpture? We see sculptures from all angles and that alone can make it easier to understand than flat work. Figurative sculpture can help us with an awareness of ourselves.

Just what do we know more about than people? Probably nothing, but we collectively draw imprecise and incorrect conclusions about people. In my work, I try very hard to show how people are as similar as they are different. The variety of the human form is exciting and astounding. How we live, how we dress, what we do, what we eat, how we celebrate, how we handle family matters, how we get along, how we survive, how we handle sadness and depression are surprisingly diverse and similar.

That is what I studied when I started and, while I take side trips, that original path is my main focus today. Come see people of the world through my sculptures.
